"The Alexander" - Hand Painted Patterned Lampshade for a Table Lamp

An original, hand painted pale blue and green lampshade with my own design. Each lampshade is a one-off unique piece since I do not use templates or stencils, all my lampshades are painted freehand by myself. The lampshade features an original design made up of alternating stripes and circular motifs topped and tailed with a painted trim.

Perfect for a table lamp in a sitting room, bedroom, dining room or study, this simple design will complement many different interior design schemes.

I am inspired generally by the Arts and Crafts movement founded by William Morris as well as the Bloomsbury Group artists and the home of Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant at Charleston in Firle, Sussex which I have visited many times.

When the light is switched on, the shade will have a "mottled" appearance due to the different amounts of paint on the lampshade which adds to the beauty of this hand crafted piece.
