Shipping and Returns Policy

ORDER PROCESSING

Please allow 3-5 working days to process your order. Expect an email within 3-5 working days to let you know your order is on the way, together with a tracking number so that you can monitor the delivery of your item(s).

UK SHIPPING COSTS

Orders are generally shipped within 3-5 working days using Royal Mail Tracked 24. Shipping rates are calculated automatically at checkout based on the size of your order.   

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: 

We offer international shipping to Europe. 

Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout. 

For orders outside Europe or the UK, please contact us at [email protected] to discuss compatibility of the lampshade(s) with your country’s standard lighting sizes.  If the shade(s) are compatible and you wish to proceed with placing an order, I am happy to provide a shipping quote specifically for your destination country. 

Your order may be subject to import duties and taxes (including VAT), which are incurred once a shipment reaches your destination country. Melanie Lewis Home is not responsible for these charges if they are applied and are your responsibility as the customer. 

REFUNDS, RETURNS AND EXCHANGES 

For lampshades that are availabe to purchase online (ie NOT bespoke commissions), we accept returns up to 7 working days after delivery, if the item is unused and in its original condition, and we will refund the full order amount minus the shipping costs for the return.  Items must be returned with a tracking number and with full insurance value for the purchased items.  We will not be responsible for issuing refunds for returned items that do not arrive at our return address or which become damaged in the return shipping process.

For commission orders, I will not charge for the order until the shade(s) is completed and I have shared photographs of the finished shade(s) with you and you have agreed by email to proceed with the purchase of the shade(s).  Once agreement is in place to purchase your order and payment has been received, I am unable to offer a refund or exchange, with the exception of damaged items.

In the event that your order arrives damaged in any way, please email me as soon as possible at [email protected] with your order number and a photo of the item’s condition. I will address these on a case-by-case basis but will try my best to work towards a satisfactory solution.
