My exclusive Darwin Monkey Series — a collection of one-off, fine art lampshades inspired by 18th-century zoological engravings. Each piece features a beautifully detailed monkey, painted freehand and designed to evoke the curiosity, charm, and romanticism of early natural history illustration.

To date, I have painted and several variations of this design, each entirely unique. The monkeys are rendered with care and character, set against a complementary background, and framed with a painted trim. No templates or stencils are used, and no two will ever be the same — making each shade a genuine collector’s piece for those who appreciate both decorative lighting and the artistry of historical imagery.

These lampshades are painted to order and prices start at £250.00 for an empire shade with a 25cm width base. The higher price reflects the considerable time, precision, and creative input required to produce each one, as well as their rarity within my broader range.
